Simon Petersen
Personal Trainer & Physiotherapist
Who is Simon
Simon is the type of trainer who makes it easy to show up. His energy is contagious, his mood is stable, and he manages to create an environment where you always feel comfortable — whether it's your first session or your hundredth. He is cheerful, present and down to earth, and his clients feel that from the moment they walk through the door.
He believes that training doesn't have to feel draining. On the contrary. His goal with every single session is simple: that you leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Background and experience
Simon is a qualified physiotherapist and has worked as a personal trainer and physiotherapist for many years. He has helped hundreds of clients with everything from rehabilitation and injury prevention to strength training, performance improvement and building a strong training routine — and his results speak for themselves. All of Simon's clients have gotten stronger, have stuck to their training and have felt better in their bodies.
He continuously keeps up to date with the latest research in physiotherapy and strength training and actively uses that knowledge in his approach. His background in clinical practice gives him a perspective most personal trainers don't have. He doesn't just see the exercise — he sees the anatomy, the biomechanics and most importantly the whole person behind the movements. He understands how the body works under training, when it makes sense to push on, and when the most important thing is to hold back and adjust.
How Simon works
Simon is known for making complex training principles simple and understandable. Not by oversimplifying them, but by finding exactly what is relevant for you right now. He communicates clearly, uses simple cues and makes sure you never leave a session more confused than when you arrived.
At Nordic we work from a shared system — a structured approach that ensures every exercise, every set and every training session has a purpose. Simon delivers that system through what he does best: connecting with the person in front of him, correcting technique precisely and putting things in a context that makes sense for you. Whether you are new to strength training or have trained for years, you will always understand what you are doing and why.
His sessions are structured and purposeful. He asks questions, listens and adjusts continuously. Clients describe him as warm, energetic and incredibly motivating — a trainer who meets you where you are and lifts you from there without it ever feeling like pressure.
"Leave your session feeling better than when you started." – Simon Petersen, personal trainer and physiotherapist
Simon outside the gym
Outside the gym Simon is active on many fronts. He is a big football enthusiast and follows the sport closely — he loves sport in general, but football is his passion. He runs once a week, follows our full body programme twice weekly and dives both at home and abroad. The curiosity and joy of movement he finds there he brings into his coaching. He lives the active lifestyle he teaches, and his clients feel it.
