FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about personal training at Nordic Performance Training in Copenhagen
How do I get started with personal training?
You start by booking a free Start-Up Conversation. It’s a relaxed meeting (in person or by phone) where we talk about your goals, schedule, and experience. You’ll get clear answers — and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll reserve your weekly training slots.
How does the free start-up conversation work?
It’s a relaxed 30-minute chat — in person or by phone — where we talk about your goals, training history, and schedule. You’ll learn how our coaching works, and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll reserve your weekly training times.
Should I book in person or by phone?
It’s completely up to you. Both options work well. If you’d like to see the gym and meet us, book the in-person option. If you’re short on time or live further away, the phone version works just as well.
Can I speak to a coach before signing up?
Yes. Your free start-up conversation is with a personal trainer — not a sales rep. It’s a no-pressure chat to help you decide what fits.
Can I visit the gym before deciding?
Absolutely. Your start-up conversation can include a short tour of the gym, so you can see the space, meet your coach, and get a feel for how we train.
Do I need experience to begin?
Not at all. Most of our clients are beginners or returning after a long break. Your personal trainer will guide you through every session with a structured program adjusted to your needs, and a focus on proper technique and efficiency.
Is there any pressure to sign up?
No. This is a no-pressure conversation. You’ll get honest guidance, clear answers, and space to decide if it’s right for you. We only recommend a plan if we’re confident we can help.
What if I'm not ready to commit yet?
No problem. The start-up conversation is free and commitment-free. If now isn’t the right time, you’ll still leave with a better understanding — and you’re always welcome back later.
How much does personal training cost?
Personal training in Copenhagen typically costs 600–1,500 DKK per session. At Nordic Performance Training, our packages range from 600–1,000 DKK per session, depending on frequency and commitment. You can split your payment into two instalments.
What's included in the price?
All our personal training programs include:
- Fixed weekly training times — no calendar juggling or booking stress
- An individualized program tailored to your goals
- 1:1 coaching with your dedicated personal trainer
- Full progress tracking in our training app
- Optional workouts between sessions via the app
You’re not just paying for a workout — you’re investing in a complete, structured system built for lasting results.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — we offer the option to split your payment into two instalments on all packages above 6 sessions.
It’s a simple way to make your investment more manageable, while still committing to real progress.
Why is personal training expensive?
Because it works. You’re not paying for gym access — you’re paying for expert guidance, accountability, structure, and long-term progress. With 1–2 efficient sessions per week, personal training becomes a high-return investment in your health.
Is a PT worth it?
Yes — especially if you want real results, not just more workouts. A good personal trainer helps you train smarter, avoid injury, and stay consistent. At Nordic Performance, your coach builds a tailored program, tracks your progress, and ensures every session moves you forward efficiently.
Is a private gym worth it?
Absolutely — if you want focused, effective training without distractions. A private gym provides expert coaching in a calm, professional setting. At Nordic Performance Training, every session is structured for progress — not just access.
Can I cancel my program if I change my mind?
No — our programs are pre-paid packages with a fixed number of sessions over a set timeframe. Once purchased, they’re non-refundable. If you’re unsure, we recommend starting with a smaller package to test the waters before committing long-term.
What does a personal trainer actually do?
Our personal trainers guide you through every step — from planning and technique to motivation and progress tracking. You train safely, efficiently, and consistently without wasting time on guesswork.
Will I always have the same personal trainer?
Yes — you’ll work with the same personal trainer each week — building trust, routine, and consistent progress.
How do I choose my personal trainer?
You’ll speak directly with one of our owners, who will match you with the coach who has your preferred weekly time slot.
All our coaches follow the same structured coaching system, so no matter who you train with, you’ll experience the same high level of quality, consistency, and results.
How many PT sessions do I need?
Most clients start with 12 sessions over 6–12 weeks. That’s usually enough to build habits, improve technique, and see clear results. Many choose to continue with ongoing coaching after that.
How often should I train?
You only need 1–2 sessions per week to see real results. Our programs are designed for busy people who want long-term progress — not endless hours at the gym.
What results can I expect?
Within 6–12 weeks, most clients feel stronger, move better, and have more energy. We track every session, so you’ll see clear progress — without burning out or starting over again.
How qualified are the coaches at Nordic Performance Training?
All our personal trainers are highly educated strength specialists — all with physiotherapy or other healthcare backgrounds. You work with one dedicated coach who knows your goals, your history, and your program.
Do your coaches have experience with injuries or rehab?
Yes. All our personal trainers are also trained physiotherapists and have extensive experience helping clients recover from injuries, manage pain, or rebuild after surgery. Every program is adjusted to your current abilities and goals.
Is your coaching available in English?
Yes — all communication, coaching, and app content is available in fluent English.
We work with many expats and international professionals in Copenhagen.
Do I get a fixed weekly training time, or can I schedule flexibly?
You’ll have a fixed weekly training slot that’s always yours — no need to book or compete for times. Your coach builds your calendar around this slot to ensure structure and momentum. Because of this setup, we don’t offer weekly rescheduling once you commit to a package.
Can I reschedule my personal training sessions if something comes up?
No — we use fixed timeslots to protect your consistency, your coach’s planning, and your long-term progress. If flexibility is important, we suggest starting with fewer weekly sessions or choosing a time that fits your schedule reliably.
How is personal training at Nordic Performance Training different from a regular gym?
We’re not just a gym — we’re a structured coaching system:
- Fixed weekly times with your own coach
- A proven method — not random workouts
- Clear tracking of your technique and progress
- A calm, private gym environment — no crowds, no chaos
Everything is designed to help you stay consistent, train smarter, and actually get results — without the stress of doing it all on your own.
Should I get a personal trainer or do it myself?
If you want real, lasting results, a personal trainer is worth it. You’ll avoid trial and error, train smarter, and stay consistent — with a program built specifically around your goals and lifestyle.
Do I need a personal trainer to lose weight?
Not necessarily — but it helps. A coach keeps you consistent, builds strength, and helps you avoid starting over.
We focus on sustainable results — not quick fixes.
Is your gym private?
Yes — our gym is fully private — unlike commercial gyms, the space is calm, focused, and never crowded. You train by appointment with your coach, so there’s no waiting for machines, no distractions, and no noise. Just structured training in a professional environment.
Can I train here on my own?
Yes — but only under specific conditions. Our private gym isn’t just a space to work out — it’s a structured training system. As a member, you train on your own using one of our programs in the app. Membership is limited and only available to those who have completed a 12-week package, been cleared by their coach, and are ready to train independently within our system.
What equipment do you have?
We’ve handpicked every machine to support effective, structured strength training. You’ll find premium equipment from brands like Prime, Nautilus, Watson, Rogue, Technogym, and more.
